Featured Works
Dressage Horse (1992) Special Oil on Canvas Commission.

This was a commission from a friend who wanted a picture of his valuable dressage horse to use for publicity purposes and also my own wish to expand my work into racehorse paintings and to produce prints for syndicated ownership. I thoroughly enjoyed painting this piece mainly because I have rarely tackled animal paintings and this was a unique addition to my collection. The client was most pleased.
York Racecourse (1992) Pastel - Commissioned Painting.

This painting of York racecourse features the final furlong of the traditional 1992 York races. The new stand is featured in the background.
Ganton Golf Club (1993), Commission Painting, Oil on Canvas.
This was a commission for Ganton Golf Club in 1993 to celebrate the centenary of the club. Golf was first played at Ganton in the summer of 1891 on a course laid out by Tom Chisholm of St Andrews who had assistance from Robert Birt, the Club's first professional and head greenkeeper. The site chosen then formed part of Sir Charles Legard's Ganton Estate and was very rough ground,

covered with whins and many varieties of grasses and wild flowers. Thousand of years previously this site had been an inlet from the North Sea, and the natural sandy subsoil was an ideal place to develop the course. Distance from Scarborough was eleven miles by road, but development was more influenced by the North Eastern Railway Line with Ganton Halt being 1/4 mile from the Clubhouse. The proximity of the railway was often a factor in the development of golf courses in the 19th Century, particularly so in Ganton's case as the membership extended to those living in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Ganton was soon established as a course where history was to be made.
